VIP porter service at Bali airport means a porter and greeter handle your bags at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). That means baggage claim to vehicle on arrival, and kerb to check-in on departure. As of September 2026, porter service is included in VVIP (USD 1,500 per person) and arranged on request for Essential (USD 105) or VIP (USD 500).
Two board bags, a pram and five suitcases can wear you out before you leave the terminal. Ngurah Rai VIP Fast Track is operated by Bali Premium Trip, an independent concierge service. It is not the airport operator and is not endorsed by airport or government authorities.
Who actually books a porter at Ngurah Rai?
Most requests come from travellers whose bags outnumber their hands:
- Families with toddlers: prams, car seats and several checked bags.
- Seniors: the airline arranges the wheelchair, and our team coordinates the handover.
- Surfers bound for Uluwatu or Canggu: long board bags that are easy to knock.
- Golfers: travel cases for courses around Nusa Dua.
- Executives and EAs: equipment cases and tight schedules.
- Wedding parties and MICE groups: dozens of bags to tag, count and match to vehicles.
- Honeymoon couples: long-haul luggage and no wish to push a trolley.
What does the porter do on arrival and on departure?
The porter’s job changes with the direction of travel. This is the flow Bali Premium Trip describes on service pages published in April 2026 and updated June to August 2026:
| Stage | Arrival at DPS | Departure from DPS |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Greeter meets you in the arrival area, or at the airbridge where airport procedures permit | Porter meets your vehicle at the departure kerb |
| Bags | Porter collects checked items at baggage claim once they appear | Porter loads bags onto a trolley and brings them to your airline’s check-in counter |
| Escort | Escort through the fast track lane and customs guidance, following normal procedures | Escort through normal security screening once you have checked in |
| Handover | Bags go to your vehicle and are loaded with the driver | Lounge where available, then you continue to your gate |
| Your role | Keep passports, arrival declarations and valuables on you | Hand over bags at check-in yourself, as the airline requires |
Every official check still applies. You simply stop wrestling luggage between them.
Which tier includes porter service, and what does it cost?
There are three published prices per person. There are no other rates:
| Tier (as of Sept 2026) | Price per person | Porter | Baggage support | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | USD 105 | On request, confirmed in writing | Greeter with fast track lane access | Light travellers, or anyone adding a porter for one flight |
| VIP | USD 500 | On request, confirmed in writing | Meet and greet, baggage assistance, customs guidance, lounge access and refreshments where available, WhatsApp support | Couples and families with moderate luggage |
| VVIP | USD 1,500 | Included | Everything in VIP, plus a dedicated personal concierge, lounge or private-room arrangements where available, and baggage delivered to the vehicle | Heavy luggage, seniors, executives, honeymoon arrivals |
Vehicle transfers are quoted per request. An August 2026 FAQ source mentioned children under 2 travel free; confirm this with reservations. All figures are subject to change.
What should you tell the team about your luggage?
Most kerbside problems start with a bag count nobody mentioned:
| Luggage scenario | What to tell the team | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Family of four with a pram and car seat | Number of checked bags, plus pram and car seat as separate items | Prams and car seats can be returned apart from suitcases, and the vehicle needs room for them |
| One or more surfboard bags | Board count and approximate bag length | Oversize items can come out apart from the main belt, and long bags need the right vehicle |
| Golf travel cases | Number of cases and whether they are hard or soft shell | Hard cases take more space and change which vehicle fits |
| Senior guest using a wheelchair | Confirm you have booked the wheelchair with your airline, and give the guest’s name | The team coordinates the handover with airline staff but cannot book the wheelchair for you |
| Wedding party or MICE group | A full manifest with names, flights and bag counts per guest | Groups are matched to vehicles and tagged by manifest |
| Excess or late-added bags | Updated count on WhatsApp as soon as it changes | A late change can mean a second vehicle |
Declare oversize items when you book, not at the kerb. A sedan that suits two suitcases will not take a board bag. Premium sedans in the Mercedes or BMW class, a Toyota Alphard, or a larger vehicle are all subject to availability.
Which items should stay with you, not the porter?
A porter moves luggage but does not look after valuables. Keep these with you at all times:
- Passports, printed bookings and arrival declarations
- Cash, cards and jewellery
- Laptops, cameras, drones and hard drives
- Medication and anything a child needs within reach
- Power banks and spare batteries, which follow your airline’s cabin rules
- Fragile items such as ceramics or wine
You also remain responsible for your own entry requirements, arrival declarations and any tourist levy. For current rules, check official Indonesian government sources before you fly.
How does booking work?
Book well ahead for July and August, late December to early January, Easter, Australian school holidays and Lebaran. Once bags are loaded, Seminyak is roughly 30–60 minutes away and Ubud 1.5–2.5 hours, depending on traffic.
- Send your details on WhatsApp: flight number, date, arrival or departure, names of everyone travelling, and your tier.
- Add your bag count: checked bags, oversize items such as boards, golf cases, prams and car seats, and any mobility needs.
- Get a written quote: the team confirms the tier price, porter arrangements and any vehicle transfer quote.
- Receive written confirmation: your booking stands only once the Bali Premium Trip reservations team confirms it in writing.
- Flight tracking on the day: the team follows your flight so delays are accounted for, and sends updates on WhatsApp.
- Handover: your greeter and porter meet you as confirmed, and bags go to the vehicle or to check-in.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a porter handle surfboards and golf bags at Bali airport?
Yes, if you declare them when you book. Tell the team how many board bags or golf cases you have and roughly how big they are. Oversize items can arrive apart from standard luggage, and they change which vehicle fits. The porter collects them and loads them with your other bags. Transfer vehicles are quoted per request, subject to availability.
Is porter service included in the VIP fast track package at Ngurah Rai?
Porter service is included in VVIP at USD 1,500 per person, as of September 2026. VIP at USD 500 includes baggage assistance, and a dedicated porter can be added on request. Essential at USD 105 covers fast track lane access with a greeter, and a porter is also available on request. Every arrangement is confirmed in writing by reservations.
Will the porter take my luggage all the way to check-in when I leave Bali?
Yes. On departure the porter meets your vehicle at the kerb and brings your bags to your airline’s check-in counter. You then hand them over as the airline requires. After check-in, you are escorted through normal security screening to a lounge where available. For international flights, airlines commonly suggest arriving about 3 hours before departure.
Can the porter service help an elderly parent who needs a wheelchair?
Yes, with one step on your side first. Request the wheelchair directly from your airline, because airlines provide that assistance. Then tell the Bali Premium Trip team the guest’s name and flight. The team coordinates the handover with airline staff while the porter looks after the luggage. VVIP adds a dedicated personal concierge for the whole process.
